DMCA Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Hattavick respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. This policy describes how to report copyright infringement on the Hattavick platform and how to file a counter-notice if you believe your content was removed in error.
Designated DMCA Agent
Direct all takedown notices and counter-notices to:
- Email: dmca@hattavick.com
- Mail: Hattavick, Attn: DMCA Agent (postal address available on request via the contact email above)
Status: Hattavick is in the process of registering its designated DMCA agent with the US Copyright Office. Until that filing is complete and listed in the Designated Agent Directory, takedown notices submitted to the email above will still be processed under the procedures described on this page. We will update this page to reflect active directory registration once the filing is complete.
Filing a Takedown Notice
To file a takedown notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)(A), your notice must include the following six elements:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works).
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including its location on the Platform (URL or description sufficient to locate it).
- Your contact information — name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- Statement of good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Statement of accuracy — a statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized agent.
Send your notice to dmca@hattavick.com. We will review and respond within 10 business days.
Warning: Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability.
Counter-Notice Procedure
If your content was removed due to a takedown notice and you believe it was removed in error or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). Your counter-notice must include:
- Identification of the removed material and its location before removal.
- Statement of good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled due to mistake or misidentification.
- Your contact information — name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- Consent to jurisdiction — a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if your address is outside the US, the District of Delaware).
- Statement of acceptance of service — a statement that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the takedown notice.
- Physical or electronic signature.
Send your counter-notice to dmca@hattavick.com. We will forward it to the original complainant. Unless the complainant files a court action within 10-14 business days, we will restore the removed material.
Repeat Infringer Policy
Hattavick maintains a repeat infringer policy in accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i):
- First offense: We will remove the infringing content and issue a warning to the user.
- Second offense: We will remove the infringing content and suspend the user’s account for 30 days.
- Third offense: We will terminate the user’s account permanently.
We maintain records of takedown notices and counter-notices for the duration required by law.
What Happens After We Receive a Notice
- We review the notice for compliance with § 512(c)(3)(A). If deficient, we may request clarification.
- If compliant, we will remove or disable access to the identified material.
- We will notify the user who posted the material that it has been removed and provide them with the counter-notice procedure.
- If we receive a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the complainant and restore the material after 10-14 business days unless we receive notice that a court action has been filed.
